Product Description

165,000 tickets sold and more than four hours of music later, FOO FIGHTERS have now immortalized their biggest ever headline stand: FOO FIGHTERS: LIVE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM, an 18-song Blu-ray disc that documents their two sold out Wembley Stadium shows.

The Wembley concerts, which took place Friday and Saturday June 6 and 7 of this year, sold out within 24 hours, making them the biggest headline performances of the band's illustrious career--as well as the biggest rock shows staged at the new Wembley Stadium to date.

FOO FIGHTERS: LIVE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM is a career-spanning live opus, drawing on all six of Foo Fighters' studio albums, featuring Dave Grohl (vocals/guitar), Taylor Hawkins (drums/vocals), Nate Mendel (bass) and Chris Shiflett (guitar) ripping through classics "Times Like These," "Everlong," "Monkey Wrench," "All My Life" and "Learn To Fly" as well as new live staples including "Long Road To Ruin." Elsewhere the core FF four are joined by co-founding FF guitarist Pat Smear, keyboardist Rami Jaffee, violinist/cellist Jessy Greene and percussionist Drew Hester on the disc’s blazing opener "The Pretender" as well as a semi-acoustic mid-set section featuring intimate versions of "My Hero," the Grohl-penned Nirvana B-Side "Marigold," Hawkins' lead vocal turn on "Cold Day In The Sun" and more.

Like the Wembley weekend, FOO FIGHTERS: LIVE AT WEMBLEY STADIUM concludes with a triumphant and highly emotional "Best Of You" with a closing chorus of 85,000 fans leaving Grohl visibly moved.

I dare any Foo Fighter's fan to watch this concert video without getting a major case of goose bumps! If you've ever had the distinct pleasure of seeing Dave Grohl and company perform live, you will cherish every moment of this show. Wembley is a very grand, and fitting venue for one of the greatest live rock bands out there today. And after an hour and a half of non-stop, blood-pumping live jam, they bring out Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones for the encore...are you kidding me??! Gotta go...I'm still watching!
SIMPLY PUT, THIS SHOW *IS* ROCK 'N ROLL

I wasn't even a huge Foo Fighters fan before I bought this blu-ray disc - I was partially getting it for the Jimmy Page/John Paul Jones experience. Well that all changed in a matter of two seamless hours of spine tingling Rock 'N Roll! Folks, this is one of the best shows you'll *EVER* see.

After watching the disc for about the 10th time I'd have to say Dave's ferocity, accompanied by the insane jam session and drum solo during "Stacked Actors", makes this one of the best performances I've seen on video in the past 20 years. By the time Page and Jones come out it's like icing on top of icing on the cake - no wonder Dave breaks down like a little girl for a second. And when Dave switches with Taylor to pound on the pig skins for "Rock 'N Roll" and you see the look in his eyes, I do believe he's actually dead and in heaven. As for Taylor Hawkins nailing Robert Plant's vox (less the impossible highs)... WOW, who knew? I didn't. These guys are AMAZING. And to see every detail of them, their instruments, the crowd, and Wembley Stadium in fine detail is simply breathtaking.

The *only* flaw in the entire TWO HOUR performance (and I wasn't even going to mention this but I must because it's actually kinda funny) is Dave has no clue what half the lyrics are to Zep's "Ramble On". They should have titled the song "Mumble On" for the disc - it's all good though, the triangle solo makes up for it :)

As for anyone who complains about extras missing from the disc, all I have to say to that is, "86,000 FANS plus JOHN PAUL JONES and JIMMY PAGE for TWO ZEPPELIN SONGS" (THERE'S YOUR EXTRAS)!

SIMPLY PUT, THIS SHOW *IS* ROCK 'N ROLL
One of the Best Rock Shows!

The show perfectly shot, i got chills every time they opened a new song. The finale is perfect. One downside is that there is a couple songs they don't have on the DVD, But they played at the show. One of them is, But Honestly (Arguably one of the best on the new cd) That aside, i don't have a better Music Blu Ray in my collection. The gripping point is the bands overwhelming look on their face when they look into the crowd. At a couple points, Dave actually cries. It's amazing. If you ever get the chance, see these guys live. Do it, I saw them Live @ Red Rocks (Front Row Center). Best night of my life. Buy this, Amazon has it cheaper here than anyone else. Easy decision. :)
Great Band / Great Show

I saw the Foo Fighters this year at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. We were in the very front and the show was amazing. I bought the DVD hoping it would be half as good as going to the show. The songs played for the most part are the same as the concert I saw. The footage is amazing and the sound is fantastic. Watching the DVD is almost as good as seeing the band live, in one aspectic it is better as no one is spilling beer on you in the comfort of your own home.

Get this DVD you will not be disappointed.
Great Stuff

Yes, this is a must-have for Foo Fighter fans. Granted, it doesn't sound as well as the studio recordings, but it's not bad. Also, it's entertaining to hear a couple of the songs in a semi-unplugged state.

The appearance of John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) and Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin, The Yardbirds) for two songs is great. The concert is something that Dave Grohl says we'll be talking about for 20 years. He also says it's the best day of his whole life. That says a lot about how much it means to him/them. Check it out.
Great Show!

This concert disc by the Foo Fighters captures another of the amazing performances the Foo Fighters are known to give. This group really delivers in their concerts and Dave Grohl is one of the greatest modern rock performers I have had the privelage to have seen. The concert is very entertaining and enjoyable. The visual quality is great, the sound is amazing, and of course the music rocks. Have not seen the standard definition DVD but I am assuming the Blu-Ray surpasses the quality of both audio and visual. In any case, great show, would reccomend to any Foo Fighter fan.
Amazing Show! Must have for a Blu-ray collection!

It really doesn't get any better than this for live show footage. Amazing quality, great camera work and editing, and obviously the music and performance is something Foo fans can't miss. And it features possibly the greatest encore of all time. There are technically no "extras" but I think the encore surpasses any backstage footage or other extra junk you would ever want. For any music lover or concert goer this is a MUST BUY!
